For 2023, Wear Orange Weekend included the Pray 4 Justice Vigil and Resource event, a Survivor Walk, and billboard ads. We used billboard ads to promote the Wear Orange activities, Gun Violence Awareness month in addition to encouraging the use of the Crime Stoppers tip line to report information on open homicide cases. One homicide case from 2012 was solved because of the billboard ad. Nearly 50 people participated in the Survivor Walk. Total participation throughout the month’s activities reached nearly 200.
